Sims Middle School has so much to celebrate! 👏96% of Pre Engineering 2 students earned REC Industry Certification in Pre Engineering. 👏8th grade Pre Algebra ranked #1 in the district with 86% proficiency. 👏Civics and Science scores improved 6% . 👏6th grade proficiency increased by 5% on FAST math. 👏 7th grade ELA proficiency was 71% ranking Sims 2nd in the district. We are so proud of our schools and our students for achieving so much success during the 24-25 school year! #SRCDS1stChoice

WBMS is proud of the 6th grade advanced math students who have qualified to take Algebra Honors in 7th grade for high school credit! They had had 50 students qualify! That is double the number in years past! Great job!

WNIS would like to highlight a STEAM Day experience they hosted at the end of March. On March 27, WNIS went Wild About Animals for STEAM Day! Students had a blast exploring hands on STEAM activities, including a fun and challenging Safari Scavenger Hunt. Our amazing teachers (AKA Safari Tour Guides) created meaningful, engaging learning experiences that brought STEAM to life! Additionally, we are grateful for the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office for partnering with us and bringing their K9 Team to share with our students. What an unforgettable learning experience for all!

Central is our only K-12 school in the district. Central School achieved the LARGEST learning gains in the district on the 7th grade Civics End-of-Course Assessment, showing a 26% increase in proficiency from the 2023–2024 to the 2024–2025 school year. This remarkable growth reflects the hard work of our students and the focused, engaging instruction provided. Wow! Way to shine, Jaguars! We are so proud of you! #SRCDS1stChoice

With a 9% increase in 3rd grade ELA, 5% increase in 3rd Grade Math, and 13% increase in 5th grade ELA, we are proud of these students, teachers, and families for achieving excellence at SSDI! #SRCDS1stChoice

Several Santa Rosa County District Schools World Language teachers joined other teachers from the Panhandle region at West Florida High School for the World Language Summer Institute. 🏫 Professional learning included proficiency-based instruction, Integrated performance assessments, meaningful feedback, elevating student engagement, and more! 👏 #SRCDS1stChoice

Rhodes Elementary is proud to share about their recent success with Information and Communication Technology Fundamentals Certification Instruction as part of their STEAM Program. This was the first year for the program and 35 students in 4th and 5th grade passed the certification exam. We are super proud of these elementary students for earning industry certifications and can't wait to see how the program expands in 2025-2026 at Rhodes!

Navarre High School is proud to share that their Geometry scores rose 5% in 2023-2024 and then 8% in 2024-2025! Their overall proficiency rate in Geometry is 70% and leads Santa Rosa County high schools. Way to go, Raiders! #SRCDS1stChoice

HNI is proud to celebrate 75% of students in 4th grade were on or above achievement on the FAST PM3 Math assessment. This is an 8% increase from last year. Way to go, Seahawks!
